TOBI (Tools for Brain-Computer Interaction), was one of the largest European-funded projects on Brain Computer Interfaces. It last lasted from November 2008 to January 2013. Within TOBI, non-invasive BCI prototypes have been combined with existing assistive technologies and rehabilitation protocols. In such a hybrid approach users could couple brain interaction with muscle-based interaction or could naturally switch between the different ways of interacting. AIAS has led the work package on user evaluation (analysis of user requirements, pilot tests).
